Response to lecture week 1 + week one tute task.

Summary of week 1 lecture.

This first week of New Communication Technology lecture, we got to se the definition of communication and technology. We learned about the differences between "new" and "old" technology. All of this computer stuf is very new to me, and I have to be honest, because I have really never given it much attention, just the basic stuf that everybody knows. But I find the information in this lecture very useful, and it makes me wanna know more. How has the communication technology really developed? In the old days they used to communiacate with writing on stone walls, or smoke signals is used, than the morse code. As we go further into the future, there is telegrams, letters, newspapers is published so people can pay attention to what happens around them. Soon the telephones are invented and people can reach each other in a totally different way. TV is invented and the communication with the world is in peoples livingroom, and so came the internet that was invented in the late 1950s to the early 1970s in the United States. And the developing until today has been huge! There is so many ways to communicate online these days, that is almost confusing! There is facebook, twitter, myspace, foursquare and you name it. It is almost like we don`t have to meet each other face to face anymore:)

The face to face communication is in my eyes the best way to communicate. Face expression is really important to see what people think about different topics. I find the information in the lecture really interesting, and I am looking forward to learn more about this subject!

Answer to the tutespark week 1.

The differences between new and old technology is several things. Look at TV for example, many people will not see TV as an old technology, but if we look closer, it is. The reason for this is the internet. The internet is the new revolution that makes everything more suitable for customers. You can get news updates more quickly, and you can choose what news you want to read about. On TV you have to wait until the end of the newscast to able to catch the news you want to see.

When a technology is more useable, and makes it easier for people to use it to access information, for example news, it makes the other technology "old".
